11 Oct 2016 Shiners submit entries to the AWS Serverless Chatbot Hackathon
Shine’s Cliff Subagio, Stephen Shim and Michael Diender recently submitted a couple of entries to the recent AWS Serverless Chatbot Hackathon that we think are pretty cool.
First up is the Sitechecker Slackbot, which will check whether a site is up for you. Even better, it does it from a bunch of different regions:
Next we have the Chaos Slackbot, which monitors sentiment on a Slack channel until it gets sick of excessive negative vibes and and decides to randomly shut some of your servers down. This one features a pretty intense demo video, so don’t say we didn’t warn you:
In all seriousness, we’re big fans of the the possibilities of serverless technologies and AWS Lambda in particular. It’s great to see how Lambda can be strung together with other technologies in creative ways. Great work Cliff, Stephen and Michael!
